Description
Done with Intuos 3 Tablet, and Photoshop CS4.
I've been getting slower and slower at drawing/painting lately and I need to get some practice getting up more speed. I noticed that DamaiMikaz is hosting a speedpainting challenge, so I thought I'd try it out to get some speed to my drawing abilities.
Challenge #3 was to paint a sky. I had some pretty good pictures of skies that I had taken with my camera, so I narrowed it down to 3 that I wanted to speed paint. Plus, I wanted to make SURE this time to focus on speeding up, so I tried to go as fast as I possibly could.
1. Daylight (far left): Took 25 min (recorded)
2. Evening (middle): Took 15 min (recording program froze, so I lost this recording. :< )
3. Night (far right): Took 10 min (recorded)
So that took approximately an hour (50 min if you want to be picky). So I DID get faster gradually. >D Muwahahhaha! Like the last speed drawing, I'll upload the recordings of the two sky drawings when I figure out music to go along with them. XD (there will be a notification).
EDIT: Okay I lied. I uploaded only Daylight as a speed drawing on youtube. I tried putting both day and night on the same video but it just acted too visually jumpy. Anyway you can view it here and hear me sing "Let It Go" in English (I prefer singing it in Japanese, but I'll save that for a later project): www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJ0w2v…
If you're interested in joining the Speed Painting Challenge, go check out DamaiMikaz's Journal here (this challenge is from April 1st to April 30th): Speed painting challenge!
