Cosplay Woes, and Update to Art Bucket List

Hey All,

I've been busy with life and...... all. *le flop*

So for Anime Iowa this year, I decided to cosplay Matoko Kino (from Sailor Moon) because I was wanting an easier/less hassle cosplay to get around the convention.  Plus one of my friends was selling the top of Matoko's school uniform that was in my size. I have no problem with sewing skirts (I've sewn my own cosplays in the past), so I went ahead and bought the shirt a week or so ago...... and yesterday it came in the mail.

Good News: I can get into it! My friend complained it was too tight in the chest area, and I did not have that problem. Huzzah!
Bad News: The bottom of the shirt is 5 inches too tight for my waistline. I has fluff....lots of fluff. Apparently whoever made the shirt tailored it to be for a bustier girl with a smaller waist. My body type is more of a pear, so I have HIPS. AM I HIPSTR? MAYBE I AM.

Despite that, I am not giving up though on this cosplay.....yet. In the two months to con time.... I'm gonna see if I can drop some inches, sooo that means eating healthier and exercising alot, which I'm doing anyway with general farm work and gardening.

When I say farm work, I mean mowing 1 to 4 foot tall grasses/weeds my Grandma's acre orchard with a push mower, because my Aunt didnt get to it soon enough with a riding lawn mower. It's great excercise....till you get to the 4 foot grasses that love to clog a little push mower every two to five min. So far I have about 3/4ths of the acre done, but the rest is tall weeds going to seed, and requires PULLING. Lots...and lots.....of pulling.

Actually that is one of the main reasons why I haven't been on DA very much or working on art as much. Just....gardening and mowing have been taking up my time. Well...that and some of the commissions/card you saw me upload on DA semi recently.

I think I've been spreading myself too thin on multiple projects, so I will probably take more of a Laissez faire approach with getting things done. Will try to not force things or have it on a schedule if at all possible (at least for a month or so). Some things just have to be on a schedule (like a certain commission), but I really need less stress in my life

Anyway, I updated my Art Bucket List (I apparently skipped updating it in April)
