STYLE PRACTICE 2017

First DA submission of 2017 (and on my birthday no less)! Although I've been working on it for maybe a week...ish....>_>

This project is an experiment in the possibility of doing caricatures of someone in the style of their favorite anime. Sounds kinda wonky, and not really something I'd REALLY want to do with my time, but hey it's good for practice right?

I guess it ended up as a self study (literally, and I guess figuratively) of myself in the comic styles of series I've liked over the years. It follows the same general idea of "draw yourself in your friends style" meme's except instead of friends, it's styles that have been popular enough to warrant a movie, or series (book or manga). It's like studying the great masters of Animation/comics...but not really. XD

What I've learned about this project is having a "style" is just saying that your drawing style is unique enough to be recognizable. Even though I was trying to draw in these famous styles, My klunky drawing technique still shows through. As much as I'm capable of copying a character and making them recognizable, It's not really my thing. It's more fun to just draw my own natural klunky way.
